Legal Requirements and Documentation

1. Essential Documentation

As a foreign worker, you need to submit certain documents to the police station as proof of your intention to stay. Depending on your situation, different documents are required.

Situations:

Changing Jobs

As a foreign worker in Croatia, you need the following documents to successfully apply for and change your current job:

Valid Travel Documents

A valid passport and ID from your home country.

Contract

An employment contract signed by the employer and the third-country national.

Proof of Criminal Innocence

Proof that the third-country national has not been finally convicted of criminal offenses in their home country or in any country where they resided for more than a year immediately before arriving in Croatia

All required documents need to be in PDF format not bigger than 20MB

Extension Of The Residence And Work Permit

If you are extending your stay and work permit in Croatia you will need to submit these additional documents 

Payroll Calculations

Payroll calculations proportional to the validity period of the previously issued residence and work permit for seasonal work

Proof of health insurance

Proof of health insurance or a copy of the health insurance card

All required documents need to be in PDF format and not bigger than 20MB

2. Employer Obligations

Your new employer needs to complete the following forms for you:

Depending on the area of Croatia where your new job is located, you should send all documents to the appropriate police station email

After the procedure completed, you will be informed via email or phone about when and where you can collect your residence and work permit.
